The International Actuarial Association has published the results of its 2026 elections, with the IAA Council approving new officers effective 1 January 2026 and outlining the incoming president’s agenda. Mike Lombardi (United States) will serve as President, Maximillian Happacher (Germany) as President-Elect and Bozenna Hinton (Australia) as Immediate Past President, with all terms running for one year and ending 31 December 2026. In his presidential address, Lombardi set a dual focus on making the IAA more effective and more efficient, including prioritising work that delivers value and reducing timelines and obstacles through clearer decisions, respect for governance, and support for representatives and volunteers. He also emphasised the IAA’s role as the global “face and voice” of the actuarial profession and the need for clear expectations for member associations to promote unity and consistency.
